Merry Christmas
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

Marcus Deloach
Our sympathy and prayers are extended to the family of Mr. Marcus DeLoach who passed away November 12. He was a member of Little Rock Baptist Church, and leaves behind his wife, and children, along with several brothers, sisters, grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. Please join us in praying for this family as Mr. Marcus' passing will leave a void in each one of their lives. He helped build the present building we now have at Little Rock. This picture was taken right after it was finished.

Revival & Homecoming
We had a really good spirit lead revival last week. Bro. Mike Sapp did a wonderful job on the revival services. He is a super speaker & I for one learned a lot last week. Last Sunday was our Homecoming service & it was a very good service. Rev. Edward Brannen was the guest speaker. He is a former pastor from approximately 30 years ago. We had a bulletin board filled with lots of old pictures & we also presented a slide show. I think everyone had a really good time. The old church building was a wooden building built in 1954. The present building is block & it was built in 1972 & the old building was tore down. It is amazing at the changes over the years (in the church & the people!) Of course we had dinner after the morning service & it was wonderful, as usual. Little Rock is blessed with many excellent cooks! I can guarantee no one left there hungry. Many thanks to all who let us borrow old pictures. We could not have done it without you!

SAD NEWS FOR THE LITTLE ROCK FAMILY
Please pray for the family of Crystal Martin. Crystal was killed last night in an electrical storm. She was 29 years old, the daughter of Lois and J.W. Martin. Her brothers were Stephen and Jamie Martin. She was a very active member of Little Rock Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher, helped with the Youth, sang in the choir and did just about anything else that needed to be done. There is another Angel in Heaven today, one that served the Lord faithfully here on earth.

REVIVAL, VBS, and 4TH OF JULY!
Revival services went very well. Bro. Jack Yarbrough brought a great message each evening and we really appreciate him coming. I believe the Lord dealt with alot of people that week.
Vacation Bible School was held June 10-16 in the mornings. We averaged about 40-50 kids most days. On Friday the kids enjoyed "Water Day" with a couple of big water slides, water guns, slip n slides and kiddie pools! They had a blast! Even Bro. Bryan got involved! (See the pictures below!)
As the 4th of July approaches this coming week, we are praying that everyone has a safe and happy Independence Day! When you think about the stars and stripes, remember the stripes that Jesus endured for our freedom!

Upcoming Revival
Little Rock Baptist Church will be holding Revival Services beginning Sunday, May 27-Wednesday May 30. Sunday's service will be at 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday - Wednesday services will be at 7:00 p.m. each evening. Evangelist Jack Yarbrough will be bringing the revival messages. We are looking forward to this revival and hope that you will join us. It is our prayer that true "revival" within our hearts and minds will take place that we may journey on and do the work of the Lord.

Easter Weekend
We had a wonderful Easter weekend. Our Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday was eggscellent! 75 people (adults and children), came out for some egg huntin' and some fellowship. Bro. Bryan gave the Easter story to the children and all had a great time. (Warning: There may still be some eggs left out in the field, so watch out!) Several people braved the cold weather to attend both services Sunday morning (although we did move the sunrise service inside!). The church choir presented us with a beautiful cantata and we were given the Easter message of God's love. It was a nice crowd and we are so thankful that we could share the miracle of Easter with so many!
